Especially suitable for robots or three-dimensional motion applications, robots, logistics equipment, spindle drives, for high loads with torsional motion, completely oil-resistant, indoor and outdoor applications, radiation resistance, etc.


In industrial applications, more and more complex movements require the use of torsional or three-dimensional highly flexible cables, and these cables are required to have a service life similar to that used in linear energy chain systems.


Core, strand, shielding and jacket materials must be able to withstand the extrusion forces generated during bending as well as the changes in radial pressure caused by torsional movements. For this purpose, different "soft" structural elements such as viscose fibers, PTFE elements or other filling elements are used in highly flexible robot cables to absorb torsional forces.


Twisted cables place special requirements on braided shielding. Thanks to the use of a special PTFE sliding membrane, the shielding structure has been torsionally optimized and can compensate for movement errors to a certain extent.


Particularly for twistable bus cables, transmission characteristic parameters such as attenuation, cable load and signal quality must remain within a normal value range with minimal deviations during the entire use of the product. This is achieved by means of specially torsionally optimized insulating materials and attenuating elements with corresponding values.

High wear resistance is used in power, servo/control cables and bus cables. PUR sheath material effectively protects the torsion-optimized stranded elements from damage.


All highly flexible robot cables are tested with a length of 1 meter and a +/-180° twist test of 3.000.000-15000000 round-trip motions. In addition, we also conducted a test. Place the cable in a drag chain with a length of approx. 2500 mm and perform a 270° twist. During this period, because the centripetal force will subject the cable to extremely high loads and heavy impact forces, this situation usually occurs in industrial robot applications.
